Issaquah, Washington – July 31, 2024 – SanMar Corporation, a leading supplier of wholesale accessories and apparel, today announced its 2024 Fall New Arrivals featuring the company’s largest product launch with more than 120 styles across 17 brands including 27 limited edition styles. The rollout includes innovation in sustainable styles, sports uniforms, over 50 outerwear and fleece additions, and new from retail favorites including Nike®, Carhartt®, The North Face®, and Eddie Bauer®.
SanMar continues to lead the way in sustainable apparel with an expansion of its C-FREE® collection, now featuring over 70 carbon-neutral styles. The Port Authority® C-FREE® line rounds out sustainable uniforming with the addition of fleece and outerwear to pair with popular existing C-FREE® apparel.
“SanMar has made it a priority to grow our sustainable C-FREE® collection to include multiple layering options that best accommodate teams and protect them from the elements throughout the year,” said Shel Renning, Vice President of Merchandising at SanMar.
The release of the Port & Company® Core Blend Recycled Tee (PC01) is a landmark addition for SanMar’s innovation in sustainable products. This fabrication is circularity-minded, made from 50% ring-spun cotton scrap and cuttings from Port & Company® cotton shirts and 50% recycled polyester from reclaimed polyethylene terephthalate (PET), a material often used to create single-use plastic bottles.
“The PC01 will be our most value-oriented sustainable t-shirt,” said Patrick Noonan, Chief Product Officer at SanMar. “We make the PC01 by using our own factories’ scraps, breaking them down into fibers, spinning them back into yarn and then making a new shirt with that recycled yarn. We know there’s a market for less expensive shirts that still prioritize sustainability, and we wanted to provide a quality choice for those customers.”
The sustainable rollout continues with two new limited-edition brands. Outerwear brand Outdoor Research® is known for high-quality, technical garments made with bluesign®-approved materials, emphasizing responsible sourcing, reduced material impact, and a lower carbon footprint. Clothing company tentree® joins the assortment with organic cotton and hemp fabrications and an environmental mission to plant ten trees for every unit sold.
“At a time when social and environmental issues are top of mind for many consumers, it’s exciting to see SanMar meet the moment with new styles and brands to help round out our assortment,” said Emily Gigot, Senior Manager of Sustainability at SanMar. “With the expansion of our C-FREE® collection and partnerships with brands like Outdoor Research® and tentree®, we are not only providing stylish, functional apparel, but also helping complete the uniform for any business looking to walk the talk with their sustainability commitments.”
Building on the popularity of its stock uniforms released in Spring 2024, SanMar announced the expansion of its Sport-Tek® collection with 17 innovative styles and new stock uniform options. Sport-Tek® PosiCharge Competitor uniforms join the lineup with core-level reversible tanks in adult and youth sizes, featuring PosiCharge technology that ensures colorfastness and clean decoration. Ideal for budget-friendly youth and adult athletic programs, the new Sport-Tek® Price Point Mesh reversible uniforms feature a softer hand-feel and expanded colors at a competitive price.
“We’re making significant investments in expanding our sport styles and on-field uniforms, and we have a trendsetting duo in our Sport-Tek® PosiCharge Competitor and Price Point Mesh uniforms,” said Renning. “We enhanced our existing program with improvements in fit, fabrication, and functionality, resulting in a more versatile product that helps teams stay active.”
In the spirit of giving back, SanMar launched its first product with a direct charitable giving impact. SanMar’s Charity Tech Packs offer a durable backpack made of recycled materials that support the work of the American Cancer Society® and the American Red Cross® by donating $5 per backpack sold. Each bag features a unique internal label that identifies the charity, highlights its mission, with a QR code to encourage end-users to contribute to these important causes through amplified donation.
